Q1 2008 E-Gov Commentary
Citizen satisfaction with e-government websites has reached its lowest point in three years with a score of 72.4, down .7% from last quarter. The aggregate score has been dragged down in large part by declining satisfaction with portals/department main sites. Uncertainly over what the administration change will mean for e-gov may also be a factor.
Key findings include:
- The category of e-commerce/transactions sites had a quarterly satisfaction score increase of 1.5%, proof that citizens want more online functionality
- Despite the overall drop in citizen satisfaction, some sites still perform well; 16% have scores of 80 or higher this quarter
